The proliferation of various forms of technology into digital formats has brought about a complete change in the entire global marketing environment, making corporations and firms reconsider the relevance and effectiveness of existing theories of marketing practices. In this light, the current paper will seek to determine the impact of major global digital marketing trends like social media marketing, SEO, data analytics, personalized recommendations via AI, content marketing, and influencer marketing on the effectiveness of traditional models such as 4Ps,AIDA, and hierarchical communication. The current study adopts a design for conducting mixed methods research whereby quantitative data were collected using a survey of 320 marketers in India, Southeast Asia, the US, and Europe, while qualitative data were collected from structured interviews with fifteen marketers. Empirical results show that the use of digital marketing strategies has a highly significant relationship with improved customer acquisition effectiveness (r = 0.74, p < 0.001), better returns on investment (β = 0.61, p < 0.001), and expanded brand coverage (β = 0.53, p < 0.001). Based on regression analysis, it can be stated that marketing performance variance is explained by 68% based on the digital marketing budget (R² = 0.68). It should be stressed that while conventional marketing models do not dominate anymore, their integration with digital marketing approaches is more effective than the exclusive usage of one method only; in other words, combining the features of the former and latter leads to better performance. The contribution of this research is represented by the creation of an advanced IDTM model and recommendations for marketing practitioners who face the challenging task of digital transition.
