The aim of this study is to explore the effect of cross-border management strategies on the performance of multinational enterprises (MNEs) in globally integrated markets. As markets become more interconnected, businesses are faced with difficulties in making operations more synergic in different cultural, operational and regulatory environments. It focuses on four strategies and their effects on operational efficiency, market responsiveness, innovation and overall performance: strategic coordination, knowledge transfer, cultural integration and operational integration. It also investigates the mediating effects of integration mechanisms, organizational structure, cultural intelligence, and digital integration. A quantitative research design was used with 150-200 MNEs in the various regions and industries. Testing of four hypothesized relationships (H1–H4) was carried out using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM). There are important positive associations among the strategy adoption and performance measures, and strategic coordination has the strongest correlation (r = 0.63, p < 0.01) while cultural integration has a significant relationship (r = 0.48, p < 0.05) with the innovation outcomes. These effects are mediated in part by integration mechanisms, as confirmed by SEM analysis, indicating the need for integration of global alignment and local adaptation. The results validate the cross-border strategy frameworks for the current MNEs' contexts by confirming their validity in the context of theory and the mediating role of the organizational and cultural factors on an empirical level. The study offers practical recommendations for managers and policymakers for strengthening cross-cultural competence, utilizing digital tools and creating flexible structures. The effects of sectoral strategies, longitudinal dynamics, and the contribution of new digital platforms to enhanced cross-border integration and effects should be explored in future research.
